ASHFORD WORKS UNDEFEATED IT’S ALL RIGHT AT REMINGTON PARK

Oklahoma City, OK, July 31, 2025  – Trainer Ray Ashford sent one of his top 2-year-olds to the track at Remington Park on Wednesday morning, It’s All Right, who brings an unblemished record to the upcoming season that begins Aug. 8.

It’s All Right, a Texas-bred gelded son of Cairo Prince, out of the Valid Expectations mare Rudita, is 2-for-2 lifetime after breaking his maiden at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, to open his career. He then solidified his talent by winning the $150,000 Texas Thoroughbred Association Futurity on July 5 there. He was bred by Macassar Corporation.

The young gelding made his first appearance at Remington Park over a fast track in :51.20, handily, for a half-mile. Wednesday training began at 5am and was conducted under her sunny skies with temperatures in the 80s.

Iram Diego was in the saddle for Ashford as the gelding easily won his first black type race by two lengths going five furlongs. It’s All Right then scored by 3-1/4 lengths in a field of field of five going 5-1/2 furlongs in the TTA futurity, in gate-to-wire fashion.

It’s All Right is owned by Ron Stolich, who is a multiple stakes-winning owner for Ashford. Stolich purchased the swift gelding for $28,000 at the TTA Yearling Sale in Texas last year. In his two wins he already has earned $116,880, and could end up in Remington Park’s competitive 2-year-old race series that culminates with the $300,000 Springboard Mile on Dec. 20.

Ashford would be no surprise for another Springboard Mile runner as he conditioned the upset winner of the 2022 Remington Park cornerstone race for juveniles with Wildatlanticstorm. The Springboard Mile carries Kentucky Derby qualifying points with it to the top finishers in the race.

Among others that stretched their legs in workouts Wednesday was Artistic Vision. She tied for the most wins here last fall (with Clay’s Black Opal), with five triumphs.

Artistic Vision, a 5-year-old gray mare for trainer Miguel Silva, won five in a row from Sept. 14 to Nov. 25 and appears ready to go for this meet. She worked three furlongs handily in :36.54, the second-fastest time for the day of 20 that tried the distance.

Since leaving Oklahoma City last winter, Artistic Vision has raced five times and finished no worse than second in four of those tries, winning two. The gray mare is owned by Thumbs Up Racing and was bred by David Cobb in Oklahoma. She is by The Visualiser from Artistic Charm (GB) by Dutch Art (GB).

Tiger Dad, a multiple stakes winner, also worked this morning. He is a veteran in the Remington Park barn area at 9 years old. Among his black-type trips to the winner’s circle was one at Santa Anita in Arcadia, Calif., but that was back in 2020. Tiger Dad took down the $100,000 Thor’s Echo Stakes on June 13, 2020, when he was trained by Carla Gaines. Tiger Dad won a $10,000-level claiming event on July 9 at Fair Meadows-Tulsa to reach $600,428 in career earnings.

Now trained by Shon Dunlap and owned by Richard Smith of Tulsa, Tiger Dad worked a half mile in :49.41, handily. He is a California-bred by Smiling Tiger from the Unusual Heat mare Q T Shae.

Another stakes winner clocked Wednesday morning was Kiss and Tell, a 4-year-old Oklahoma-bred filly by Den’s Legacy, out of the Air Commander mare, No Kisses for Pop. She is trained by Alan Williams for owner Terry Westemeir of Broken Arrow, Okla. He also owns multiple stakes winners Number One Dude and Doudoudouwanadance.

Kiss and Tell worked four furlongs in :49.63, handily.

She won the Blue Ribbon Stakes at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla. on March 18, 2024. She also finished third in the Oklahoma Classics Lassie Stakes on Oct. 20, 2023, behind a horse that would go on to be Remington Park’s Champion Horse of the Meeting two years running in 2023-2024 – Miss Code West.
