For Immediate Release – Oklahoma City, Ok, December 18, 2022 – Famed proved to be the only shipper to win a stakes race on Springboard Mile night at Remington Park, taking the $100,600 She’s All In Stakes on Saturday night and she did it in dominating style.
The 3-5 heavy favorite from the barn of the nation’s fourth-leading trainer by money earned, Brad Cox, was a true beast, winning by 6-3/4 lengths in her 1-mile, 70-yard race against 3-year-olds-and-up, fillies and mares.
The 3-year-old daughter of Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), out of the Elusive Quality mare Delightful Quality, was much the best in this race and jockey Florent Geroux, the No. 7 jockey in the country in earnings, knew it.
“She was nice and relaxed (in fourth) down the backstretch and I knew it was just a matter of time before the speed came back to us,” Geroux said. “She is super well-bred and is a very big, nice-looking filly. I’m very happy for her.”
Famed is owned by Godolphin Racing, the top racing outfit in North America with more than $16 million earned this year, earned another $60,000 from this victory. Famed improved her record to nine starts, four wins, two seconds and two thirds and $310,133 in her bankroll.
She covered the distance over a fast track in 1:43.17 after slicing into interior fractions of :23.87 for the first quarter-mile, :47.75 for the half, 1:12.80 for three-quarters, and 1:38.96 for the mile. Hailey’s Melody (8-1) and Sunday Flashback (12-1) were the early speed duelers and finished second and fourth, respectively. Cleopatra’s Charge (22-1) made a late charge the get into third place, only a neck behind the runner-up.
The remaining order of finish in the She’s All In was Family Time (5th), Unburnt (6th), Lavender (Ire) (7th), Run Slewpy Run (8th), Bossy Moment (9th) and Dicey (10th).
Famed paid $3.20 to win, $2.40 to place and $2.20 to show. She was bred in Kentucky by her owner.
It was her first stakes win, although she had tried stakes (listed) company at Pimlico in Maryland and (Grade 2) Churchill Downs in Louisville, finishing second and fourth respectively.
This is the first win in the She’s All In Stakes for all the connections of Famed. The race is named in honor of She’s All In, an Oklahoma-bred mare and member of the Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame, who compiled over $1 million in her racing career, scoring 11 times at Remington Park.
